Buhran Gallery

For 12 years, gallery owner, Zubin Gillespie, has travelled to Asia and hand selected fine antiques and contemporary artisan works. This is a hand carved basalt sculpture from China of a Tang style horse. Horses symobize amplified energy. When they are tamed they came to symbolize a force that be controlled to society's benefit. To the Buddhist, the horse symbolizes the energetic pursuit of the objectives of Buddha's teachings.
