Rebecca Rowley

Rebecca Rowley lives and works in Calgary, Canada. Her artwork has been exhibited at Image 54, The Triangle Gallery, The New Gallery, The Marion Nicoll Gallery, The Truck Gallery and The Nickle Arts Museum of Calgary. She works in a wide range of media, from traditional drawing, painting and sculpting materials, to photography, plastics and digital media. Her creative use of materials illustrates her ideas in unique and innovative ways, while her penchant for traditional art-making techniques maintains a foundation of classical art. She has a deep love for the human body as a vehicle for emotional and intellectual expression, which keeps her returning to figure study for inspiration. Rebecca received her fine arts degree from the University of Calgary in sculpture and photography. Her professional career includes freelance photography, illustration and graphic design for businesses in and around Calgary.
