Artemis Charitable Foundation™ accepts applications on an ongoing basis for charities wishing to benefit from our Annual Gallery Calorie™ Tour .

The mandate of Artemis Charitable Foundation™ is to support grass-roots organizations that help women and children. We will make an exception to the women and children criteria if the charity is a personal cause of a member, however, such a charity must still face a vote by the membership.

Once we receive your application, the Board of Directors will shortlist the applicants according to our mandate of supporting women and children, grass roots activities and overall impact of our activity on the organization. The short-listed applicants will be asked to make a 10 minute presentation to the membership. Based upon the application and presentation, the membership will vote to choose our next beneficiary (ies). Generally, Artemis conducts this process in the fall of each year to choose the beneficiary (ies) for the following year.

Being selected as the Charity of Choice is the beginning of a partnership with Artemis Charitable Foundation™. Our members dedicate many hours and efforts for over six months every year to organize and host the Gallery Calorie Tour. With the Charity of Choice's assistance, we strive to make each event a success: in fact, the Charity's contribution is a very essential part of our efforts.

If you wish to be considered as a Charity of Choice, please complete application. This application will qualify the applicant to be considered as a Gallery Calorie Tour beneficiary, at the discretion of the Artemis Foundation. You will be contacted if your organization has been short-listed to make a presentation to the membership.  Our deadline for the 2009-10 year was November 15th, 2009.  Please feel free to submit your application for the 2010-11 year.  Please contact us for an application.  Completed applications can be faxed to 403-355-3807 attention Artemis Charitable Foundation.

Requirements

The Charity of Choice must meet the following requirements:

1. Provide volunteers the day-of the event.
   * For Gallery Calorie, we require roughly 75 volunteers in total and expect the charity to provide at minimum, 25 people to assist us.
2. Sell tickets to the event through contacts with sponsors, donors, supporters. The Tour is only as successful as the number of tickets sold.
   * For Gallery Calorie, Artemis expects the Charity to endeavor to sell at minimum 35 tickets
3. Assist Artemis Charitable Foundation™ with obtaining sponsorship, item and/or art donations or media coverage. This can be accomplished through the Charity approaching potential donors to support the event, or making an introduction and then providing Artemis with their contact information.
